✨ Astrology: More Than Just Your Sun Sign
If you’ve ever wondered about astrology — and whether there’s more to it than just your sun sign — there absolutely is.
This month, I’m really looking forward to our upcoming in-person workshop with astrologer and yoga teacher Claire O’Keeffe.
Claire joined me on the podcast last year and was so inspirational in sharing her life journey — from academia as a research scientist to studying astrology and yoga, and ultimately embracing a completely new direction. When I interviewed her, I was struck by the depth and clarity of her understanding, and by how beautifully she communicates what can otherwise feel like complex concepts.
I’m delighted to have the opportunity to work alongside her and support participants in applying astrology to their own lives and work. Claire brings a wonderfully grounded, practical understanding of astrology, and together we will guide you in both understanding your chart and integrating those insights meaningfully.
There is already strong interest in this workshop, so please do book soon to avoid disappointment.

In the workshop, we will explore three key insights that astrology can offer us, and use these as a foundation for deeper reflection and understanding.
Once you sign up, we will ask you to send your date, time, and place of birth so that we can look more closely at your unique blueprint.
🌍 Why Astrology Now?
Astrology has been around for thousands of years, and I believe interest in it has grown significantly in recent years — especially as the world continues to change so dramatically.
The old ways of navigating and organising our lives no longer feel sufficient for many people. For me personally, astrology has been hugely supportive in making sense of these shifts. It has provided a positive framework to understand how so much of what we once took for granted has changed — and it offers insight into the evolutionary shift many of us can feel.
Astrology has also supported me greatly in my work. It explains much about what motivates me and where I feel most aligned and satisfied. For those of us in leadership roles, it can offer valuable insight into personality traits, motivations, and what truly matters in your approach to leadership.
Astrology operates on the premise that the alignment of planets and stars at the time of a person’s birth influences personality and behavioural patterns. A birth chart maps these positions and provides insight into life themes, strengths, challenges, and areas of growth.
🌿 My Own Experience
In terms of my own growth, astrology helped me understand why I tend to take on leadership roles, think outside the box, and feel a strong desire to contribute positively to the world. It also helped me understand why I can sometimes feel shy or hesitant when sharing ideas that differ from popular opinion.
As a psychotherapist deeply interested in personal development, I have done a great deal of therapeutic work on myself — exploring patterns, early experiences, and the ways I show up in the world. That work has been immensely valuable.
What astrology offered was a complementary perspective. It showed me that who I am is shaped not only by early life experiences but also by the unique blueprint of my birth chart.
For example, I had always assumed that being the eldest daughter in a family of eight siblings shaped my sense of responsibility and leadership. It certainly did. But I was fascinated to see that similar themes appear in my birth chart as well.
I also find it very affirming that my Sun in Libra in the 3rd house reflects my love of writing, communication, and sharing ideas — something that feels completely natural to me.
🌟 Key Insights from Astrology
In our workshop we will address these three simple but powerful elements:
1️⃣ Your Sun Sign
Represents where you naturally shine and feel most alive.
2️⃣ Your Moon Sign
Points to your inner emotional needs and what supports your well-being.
3️⃣ Your Venus Sign
Shows what your heart genuinely loves — what brings you joy and connection.
It is my belief that as we navigate this changing world, the more we understand ourselves, the more confidently we can find our place within it.
If this resonates, I would love to see you at the workshop.
Warmly,
Monica ✨
